1. A system comprising:
a) a power converter configured to receive an input voltage and configured to provide an output voltage different from the input voltage, the power converter including a plurality of switching devices and at least one switching signal input node configured to receive at least one switching signal, and the power converter having a sensing node configured to provide a sensing signal;
b) a sensing circuit including a sensing input coupled to the sensing node of the power converter and configured to receive the sensing signal, the sensing circuit configured to provide a sense voltage in response to the sensing signal, the sensing circuit including a capacitor for storing a voltage, the sensing circuit including a first switch to selectively couple the sense voltage to the capacitor, and the sensing circuit including a control terminal configured to receive a control signal, the sensing circuit configured to open and close the first switch in response to the control signal; and
c) a controller coupled to the at least one switching signal input node of the power converter and configured to provide the at least one switching signal thereto, the controller configured to change an operating state of the plurality of switching devices in response to the at least one switching signal, the controller being coupled to the control terminal of the sensing circuit and configured to provide the control signal thereto, the controller configured to be responsive to the voltage stored on the capacitor for controlling the at least one switching signal and the control signal to regulate the power converter.
