1. A light detection and ranging (LiDAR) apparatus comprising:
a continuous wave light source configured to generate continuous wave light having one frequency component;
a beam splitter configured to split the continuous wave light into a first continuous wave light and a second continuous wave light;
a beam steering device configured to emit the first continuous wave light to an object for a first period of time and stop emitting the first continuous wave light to the object for a second period of time;
a receiver configured to receive the first continuous wave light that is reflected from the object to form a reception signal; and
a signal processor configured to obtain distance information and speed information about the object based on the reception signal,
wherein the second continuous wave light is continuously provided to the receiver for a cycle including the first period of time and the second period of time.
