1. A fire suppression system, comprising:
an interface control module configured to activate a fire suppressant discharge system in response to receiving a fire detection signal; and
an interface module connected with the interface control module, and connected with at least one of a first optical sensor and a first interface expansion module of a plurality of interface expansion modules;
wherein the first interface expansion module is communicably coupled to the interface control module through the interface module and is configured to connect with a second optical sensor, and each of the plurality of interface expansion modules are configured to connect with a corresponding optical sensor and a downstream one of the plurality of interface expansion modules;
wherein the first optical sensor and the second optical sensor are configured to detect a fire condition at an area of interest and provide the fire detection signal to the interface control module in response to detecting the fire condition;
wherein the interface module comprises a plurality of light emitting devices including a first light emitting device corresponding to the first optical sensor and a second light emitting device corresponding to the plurality of interface expansion modules and the corresponding optical sensor, the first light emitting device configured to display different colors indicating a status of the first optical sensor and the second light emitting device configured to display different colors indicating a status of the plurality of interface expansion modules and the corresponding optical sensors upstream of the interface module.
