1. A method for mounting a magnet of a Hall sensor on a rotor shaft of an electric machine via an adapter, the method comprising:
inserting the magnet into a receptacle of the adapter in an axial direction such that the magnet is at least partially surrounded by the adapter on a circumferential side in a radial direction, the receptacle being recessed from an end face of the adapter;
positioning the adapter in a stamp opening of a stamp which has a flank that is inclined with respect to the radial direction; and
moving the stamp in the axial direction, wherein during the moving of the stamp in the axial direction, the flank of the stamp contacts the end face of the adapter to plastically deform the adapter towards an inside in the radial direction such that the magnet is held in the receptacle.
