1. A cartridge, comprising:
a casing comprising a rearward primer, propellant, and a bullet, the bullet comprising:
a bullet body including a rearward boattail portion extending to a bearing portion and a tapering forward body portion forward of the bearing portion;
the bullet body having a circumferential groove positioned in a forward half of the bearing portion and in a rearward half of a length of the bullet body;
wherein the circumferential groove is defined by a curved forward wall portion, a bottom wall portion, and a curved rearward wall portion, and wherein a curvature of the curved forward wall portion in cross section is greater than a curvature of the curved rearward wall portion in cross section.
