1. A method comprising:
combusting a first portion of a fuel stream comprising a hydrocarbon within a complementary firing chamber to produce an exhaust stream comprising carbon dioxide;
flowing the exhaust stream to a turbine wheel of an electric generator, thereby causing the exhaust stream to expand while flowing across the turbine wheel and the turbine wheel to rotate;
generating, by the electric generator, electrical power in response to rotation of the turbine wheel from expansion of the exhaust stream across the turbine wheel;
reforming a second portion of the fuel stream in the presence of oxygen and steam to produce a syngas stream;
separating a hydrogen stream from the syngas stream;
replacing the first portion of the fuel stream with the hydrogen stream;
combusting the hydrogen stream instead of the first portion of the fuel stream within the complementary firing chamber to produce a steam stream;
flowing the steam stream to the turbine wheel of the electric generator, thereby causing the steam stream to expand while flowing across the turbine wheel and the turbine wheel to rotate; and
generating, by the electric generator, electrical power in response to rotation of the turbine wheel from expansion of the steam stream across the turbine wheel.
