1. A cement form, comprising a single piece body member having a solid, continuous foam construction, the body member comprising:
a first surface arranged vertically and configured to support a volume of cement;
a second surface arranged horizontally and configured to contact a ground support surface;
a connector groove comprising a first planar face that is parallel to the first surface and a second planar face that is parallel to the first surface, wherein the connector groove is dimensioned to receive a connecting member, which (a) has a width, height, and length, in which the width, height, and length are each perpendicular to each other and the length is greater than the width and the height, (b) is selected from any one of a standard 2″×4″ board, a standard 2″×6″ board, and a standard 2″×8″ board, in which 2″ relates to the width of the connecting member and 4″, 6″, and 8″, respectively, relate to the height of the connecting member, and (c) has a first board plane and a second board plane, both of which are defined by the height and the length of the connecting member, such that each of (i) the first planar face of the connector groove contacts the first board plane, (ii) the second planar face of the connector groove contacts the second board plane, and (iii) each of the first planar face, the first board plane, the second planar face, and the second board plane are approximately parallel to each other;
a weight bearing surface extending from the first planar face to the second surface, wherein the connector groove is formed in the weight bearing surface;
a detachable element spaced laterally away from the first surface and the second surface; and
at least one relief slit defining an edge of the detachable element.
