1. A method for evaluating the position of landing gear on an aircraft, comprising:
detecting a change in audio noise of the aircraft from an enhanced flight audio recording system (EFARS) located onboard the aircraft;
comparing the change in audio noise of the aircraft to a database of audio outputs of the audio pitch of the aircraft with the landing gear extended;
detecting an increase in vibrations of the aircraft from a flight management system (FMS) located onboard the aircraft;
comparing the increase in vibrations of the aircraft to a database of vibrations of the aircraft with the landing gear extended;
detecting a decrease in airspeed of the aircraft from the FMS;
comparing the decrease in airspeed of the aircraft to a database of airspeed of the aircraft with the landing gear extended;
determining the position of the landing gear based on results of the comparisons of the change in audio noise, the increase in vibrations and the decrease in airspeed; and
indicating the position of the landing gear to a pilot of the aircraft.
