1. A method comprising:
viewing a medicament of a syringe from an exterior of a case of an auto-injector while the syringe is inside the case by viewing the medicament through a transparent portion of the case;
removing a cap from a distal end of the case to remove a protective needle sheath covering a needle of the syringe while the auto-injector limits a distal movement of the syringe relative to the case;
after removing the cap from the distal end of the case, moving a first part of the auto-injector relative to the case from (i) a first position in which a depression of a trigger button relative to the case in a distal direction is prevented to (ii) a second position in which the depression of the trigger button relative to the case in the distal direction is allowed;
while the first part is in the second position, depressing the trigger button relative to the case in the distal direction to radially deflect two axially-extending beams to release a plunger of the auto-injector from being held by a proximal part of a carrier of the auto-injector such that the plunger moves in the distal direction relative to the carrier and the case under a distally-directed biasing force of a compression drive spring to displace a stopper within the syringe to dispense the medicament from the syringe through the needle for injection into an injection site, the trigger button being disposed at a proximal end of the auto-injector, a distal part of the carrier surrounding a barrel of the syringe, the two axially-extending beams being disposed between two axial ends of the compression drive spring, and the two axially-extending beams having a ramped portion;
rotating a cylindrical collar relative to the case about a longitudinal axis of the case while a distal end of a second spring is in direct engagement with the cylindrical collar, a diameter of the second spring being larger than a diameter of the compression drive spring;
after rotating the cylindrical collar relative to the case, limiting a re-use of the auto-injector by limiting a movement of the first part relative to the carrier and the case;
generating an audible or tactile feedback to indicate a status of the auto-injector; and
viewing a portion of the plunger from the exterior of the case through the transparent portion of the case.
