1. An apparatus, comprising:
a sensor shoe that includes:
a base having a first end opposite a second end;
one or more grooves formed at the base;
a raised portion at the first end having an opening facing the second end;
a first sidewall extending laterally from the base;
a second sidewall extending laterally from the base and opposite the first sidewall, wherein a distance between the first sidewall and the second sidewall is tapered such that the distance is narrower at a first point closer to the first end compared with a second point closer to the second end; and
an electrical connector disposed through the opening and configured to electrically couple to a removable biometric sensor device; and
a wearable patch adhered to the sensor shoe and including:
a flexible electrically insulating material;
a first electrode and a second electrode coupled to the flexible electrically insulating material and configured to sense a physiological signal used to generate electrocardiogram data, wherein the first electrode is positioned closer to the sensor shoe than the second electrode; and
a first conductive pathway positioned between the first electrode and the sensor shoe and electrically coupled to the electrical connector.
