1. An information device comprising:
a memory storing instructions;
a photographing apparatus that includes an illuminance sensor and captures an image of a target; and
a processor configured to execute the instructions to:
respectively set first and second recognition thresholds to first and second applications installed in the information device;
receive an output value of the illuminance sensor, before obtaining the image of the target from the photographing apparatus;
estimate lighting information based on the output value of the illuminance sensor;
determine, before obtaining the image of the target from the photographing apparatus, a recognition accuracy threshold that is used when performing recognition of the target, based on the lighting information;
determine, before obtaining the image of the target from the photographing apparatus, a number of feature points which are used when performing the recognition of the target, based on the lighting information;
cause the photographing apparatus to capture the image of the target using one or more photographing parameters;
after obtaining the image of the target from the photographing apparatus, perform the recognition of the target from the captured image in accordance with the recognition accuracy threshold, using the determined number of feature points; and
allow usage of the first application by the target when the target is recognized and a recognition accuracy is greater than the first recognition threshold, and allow usage of the second application by the target when the target is recognized and the recognition accuracy is greater than the second recognition threshold.
