1. An electrical propulsion system, comprising:
an inverter comprising a thermal plate and a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA);
an electrical motor assembly comprising a stator and a rotor;
a gearbox assembly comprising an end bell plate; and
a rotor position sensor connected to the PCBA, the rotor position sensor comprising:
at least two hall sensors coupled to the PCBA, and
a magnet located on the gearbox assembly, wherein the at least two hall sensors are configured to detect a magnetic field of the magnet through at least one of the thermal plate or the end bell plate to sense a position of the magnet.
