1. A fabric or flexible composite material for an inflatable safety product, the fabric or flexible composite material comprising:
a substrate comprising a first base polymer; and
a film comprising a second base polymer and covering a surface of the substrate, wherein the first base polymer and the second base polymer are identical, wherein the fabric or flexible composite material comprises a tensile strength of at least 190 lbs/in and a tear strength of at least 13 lbs/in, wherein a pressure applied to a first portion of the surface that is opposite a heat source does not decrease for at least 90 seconds when the first portion is subjected to a higher pressure than a second portion of the surface that is not subjected to the heat source, and wherein an average of a time to pressure decrease of at least 3 specimens of the fabric or flexible composite is at least 180 seconds or greater when exposed to a radiant heat flux of 1.5 Btu/ft2-sec or greater.
