1. A method for applying a scope accessory in a virtual environment, the method being performed by a terminal and comprising:
displaying a first environment interface, the first environment interface comprising a person perspective picture of the virtual environment observed from a person perspective of a virtual object, the virtual object holding a virtual item, the virtual item being equipped with the scope accessory, and the first environment interface further comprising a scope control;
receiving a touch operation on the scope control for a touch duration, wherein the touch operation comprises a drag operation performed on the scope control during the touch duration;
in response to receiving the touch operation, displaying a second environment interface, the second environment interface comprising a scope picture of the virtual environment observed by using the scope accessory, wherein the second environment interface is continuously displayed during the touch duration, and wherein the scope picture is initially displayed in a first perspective direction in response to initial receipt of the touch operation;
receiving the drag operation on the scope control before an end of the touch operation;
in response to receiving the drag operation, moving the scope picture of the second environment interface from the first perspective direction to a second perspective direction corresponding to the drag operation;
determining an amount of the touch duration in response to the end of the touch operation;
determining a de-activation condition for the scope accessory based on the touch duration and a duration threshold; and
disabling the scope accessory and resuming displaying the person perspective picture in response to the de-activation condition being met.
