1. A method in a user equipment, the method comprising:
receiving an aperiodic channel state information reference signal, aperiodic CSI-RS, based on a determination that the aperiodic CSI-RS is not present in physical layer resources corresponding to a downlink control channel set; and
based on a presence of the aperiodic CSI-RS in a subframe being indicated by a downlink control channel and the user equipment not receiving a downlink control channel message in the downlink control channel set, determining that an aperiodic CSI-RS is transmitted in the subframe in physical resource blocks, PRBs, belonging to the downlink control channel set.
