1. A method for preparing a tris(trichlorosilyl)germanide adduct of BBr3 of formula (IV):

the method comprising:
mixing tris(trichlorosilyl)germanide of formula (II):

with BBr3, to obtain a mixture;
dissolving the resulting mixture in dichloromethane with stirring; and
obtaining the tris(trichlorosilyl)germanide adduct at a temperature of 5 to 40° C. over a period of 1 to 120 hours.
