1. A method of synthesizing a tri-(adamantyl)phosphine compound, PAd3, comprising:
providing a mixture comprising di-1-adamantylphosphine and 1-adamantylacetate in a solvent; and
adding Me3SiOTf to the mixture resulting in the production of the PAd3.
