1. A method of managing fluid in a patient, the method comprising:
inductively charging, by an external device through skin of the patient, an implanted device within the patient that is configured to transport fluid from a peritoneal cavity of the patient to a bladder of the patient;
receiving, by the external device, an instruction from a remote computer to cause the implanted device to control transportation of the fluid from the peritoneal cavity to the bladder of the patient;
wirelessly transmitting, by the external device through the skin of the patient, the instruction to the implanted device;
wirelessly receiving, by the external device through the skin of the patient, information from the implanted device;
saving, by the external device, the information from the implanted device locally on the external device; and
transmitting, by the external device, after saving the information locally on the external device the information to the remote computer.
