1. A user equipment (UE), comprising:
a transceiver configured to communicate with a network; and
a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver and configured to perform operations comprising:
receiving, from a base station, a first configuration of discontinuous reception (DRX) which is for maintaining a first active time for a point-to-point (PTP) transmission;
receiving, from the base station, a second configuration of DRX which is for maintaining a second active time for a point-to-multipoint (PTM) transmission;
monitoring a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with a first identifier which is specific to the UE based on the first active time;
monitoring a second PDCCH with a second identifier which is specific to the PTM transmission based on the second active time;
decoding, based on signals received from the base station, the second PDCCH;
generating, for transmission to the base station, hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback in response to decoding the second PDCCH;
starting, after the HARQ feedback is transmitted, a PTM retransmission timer; and
starting a PTP active time in response to starting the PTM retransmission timer.
