1. A computerized method comprising:
determining that a physical location of a user device matches a physical location of a fixed wireless access point;
identifying an uplink capacity of the user device;
identifying an uplink capacity of the fixed wireless access point;
determining whether to select one of the user device or the fixed wireless access point based on a comparison of the uplink capacity of the user device and the uplink capacity of the fixed wireless access point;
in response to determining the fixed wireless access point is selected as having the uplink capacity that is greater than the uplink capacity of the user device, generating and communicating an instruction to the user device that causes the user device to directly connect to the fixed wireless access point; and
in response to determining the user device is selected as having the uplink capacity that is greater than the uplink capacity of the fixed wireless access point:
determining whether a signal power and a signal quality of the user device meet or exceed a predefined threshold;
in response to determining the signal power and the signal quality of the user device are determined to meet or exceed the predefined threshold, generating and communicating an instruction to the user device that causes the user device to directly connect to a base station; and
in response to determining the signal power and the signal quality of the user device are determined to be less than the predefined threshold, generating and communicating the instruction to the user device that causes the user device to directly connect to the fixed wireless access point.
