1. An apparatus comprising:
a processor; and
memory in electronic communication with the processor, wherein instructions stored in the memory are executable by the processor to:
determine that an event has occurred in a first routing path;
identify a processing partition that is affected by the event, wherein the processing partition comprises a first port that has been assigned a first local identifier and a second local identifier, wherein the first local identifier is used as an address for the first port to route data between the first port and a second port through the first routing path, and wherein the second local identifier is used as the address for the first port to route the data between the first port and the second port through a second routing path; and
in response to identifying the processing partition that is affected by the event, swap the first local identifier being used for the first port out for the second local identifier, wherein swapping to the second local identifier enables the data being routed between the first port and the second port over the first routing path to switch to being routed over the second routing path.
