7. A power supply unit structured to allow a power supply apparatus to be formed by stacking a plurality of power supply units, the power supply units each comprising:
a positive output and a negative output;
an output stage structured to generate an output voltage across the positive output and the negative output according to a control signal;
a current detector structured such that, when the power supply unit is set to a master channel, the current detector is activated so as to generate a current detection signal that indicates an output current of the output stage of the master channel, and when the power supply unit is set to a slave channel, the current detector is deactivated;
a feedback controller structured such that, when the power supply unit is set to the master channel, the feedback controller is activated so as to generate the control signal such that the current detection signal approaches a target value; and
an interface circuit structured such that, when the power supply unit is set to the master channel, the interface circuit transmits the control signal to the other channels, and such that, when the power supply unit is set to a slave channel, the interface circuit receives the control signal from the master channel,
wherein the output stage is structured such that, when the power supply unit is set to a master channel, the output stage generates the output voltage according to the control signal generated by the feedback controller in the master channel, and such that, when the power supply unit is set to a slave channel, the output stage generates the output voltage according to only the control signal received by the interface circuit of the slave channel.
