1. A rotary electric machine comprising:
a field element having a plurality of magnetic poles;
an armature having a toothless configuration and including
an armature winding including a plurality of winding segments and
a support member provided on a radially inner side or on a radially outer side of the armature winding and provided on an opposite side of the armature winding from the field element, the support member supporting the plurality of winding segments, wherein
either the field element or the armature is a rotor, and
the armature winding includes windings of two systems, which are electrically independent, and in which an armature winding of a first system is closer to the field element in a radial direction than an armature winding of a second system,
the rotary electric machine further comprising:
a current control device configured to control a current of the armature winding of the first system and the armature winding of the second system, wherein
the current control device is configured to differentiate a current waveform of the armature winding of the first system and a current waveform of the armature winding of the second system from each other in consideration of a difference in a magnetic flux waveform of the field element caused by a difference in a distance from the field element in the radial direction.
