1. A rotating electric machine comprising:
a field system including a magnet section having a plurality of magnetic poles whose polarities alternate in a circumferential direction; and
an armature including a multi-phase armature coil and a base member to which the armature coil is mounted,
wherein
either of the field system and the armature is configured as a rotor,
the armature coil has electrical conductor sections arranged at positions facing the field system and in alignment with each other in the circumferential direction,
the electrical conductor sections, which are mounted to the base member, have respective field-system-side peripheral surfaces thereof covered with a resin,
the resin covering the field-system-side peripheral surfaces of the electrical conductor sections has two resin skin layers formed respectively on a surface side and an electrical-conductor-section side, and a resin core layer formed between the two resin skin layers, and
a sum of radial thicknesses of the two resin skin layers is greater than a radial thickness of the resin core layer on a radial cross section of the armature.
