1. A magnetized cable comprising:
one or more electrically conductive wires; and
an elongated flexible magnetized component (EFMC), wherein the EFMC includes a pliable binder comprised primarily of a polymer and magnetic particles distributed within the polymer, wherein:
the EFMC produces a persistent magnetic field;
at least a first portion of the EFMC is magnetically attracted to at least a second portion of the EFMC; and
magnetic attraction between the first and second portions of the EFMC facilitates manipulating the EFMC from an uncoiled state to a coiled state.
