1. A system for providing hands-free medication tracking, comprising:
a wearable augmented reality device comprising at least one transparent or semi-transparent display element;
a location sensor for identifying a location of the wearable augmented reality device;
one or more environment sensors configured to collect information associated with a surrounding environment of the wearable augmented reality device at or near the location; and
one or more processors configured to:
determine, based on the collected information and the location of the wearable augmented reality device, that a user currently associated with the wearable augmented reality device is near a storage location for a user action that includes drop off or retrieval of a medication;
select a position for the medication at the storage location based on a virtual model of the storage location; and
present, via the display element, a visual indicator augmented over the storage location within the user's view to highlight the selected position among objects at the storage location.
