1. A display device, comprising:
a display panel in which a plurality of first pixel areas and a plurality of second pixel areas each including a plurality of sub pixels are defined;
a pixel circuit which is disposed in each of the plurality of sub pixels, the pixel circuit including a driving transistor; and
a welding transistor selectively connecting the pixel circuits of the plurality of first pixel areas and the plurality of second pixels areas which are adjacent to each other, among the plurality of first pixel areas and the plurality of second pixel areas,
wherein the welding transistor is disposed between the pixel circuit of the first pixel area and the pixel circuit of the second pixel area, and selectively controls the display panel to operate in a high resolution mode or a low resolution mode.
