1. A beacon detection system for detecting the presence of a user in proximity to a retail store to provide information to the user when the user is located in proximity to the retail store, comprising:
a server having a computer processor and at least one database;
a beacon component, having a computer processor operably connected to the server for sending information relating to a detected user device to the server, the beacon component configured to be mounted in proximity to the retail store, wherein the beacon component is operative to detect the presence of a user device in proximity to the retail store, and whereby upon reception of detected user device information sent from the beacon component, the processor of the server is configured to:
determine an identity of a user associated with the detected user device; and
determine one or more items associated with the retail store that match a user's dwelling based on analytics performed by the server on user information stored in the database based on a dwelling maintenance schedule associated with the user, while the user is located in proximity to the retail store.
