1. A method, comprising:
determining, by a first device of a financial services provider, that the first device is disconnected from a network that enables communication with the financial services provider;
receiving, by the first device and from a second device of a payment method, a request for a transaction associated with the first device,
wherein the transaction is associated with a type of transaction;
establishing, by the first device, based on determining that the first device is disconnected from the network, and based on receiving the request for the transaction, a communication channel with a third device of a user related to the second device,
wherein the communication channel with the third device is established based on a wireless communication channel that is separate from a communication method used to receive the request for the transaction;
authorizing, by the first device and based on determining that the first device is disconnected from the network and based on establishing the communication channel, the transaction one time during a predetermined time period,
wherein the authorization of the transaction causes information associated with the transaction to be recorded on the third device;
preventing, based on the recorded information, another transaction that is of a same type as the transaction authorized during the predetermined time period; and
storing, by the first device, data associated with the transaction that has been authorized during the predetermined time period.
