1. A wearable ring device configured to be worn on a finger of a user, the wearable ring device comprising:
a housing, comprising:
an external housing comprising an exterior surface of the wearable ring device; and
an internal housing comprising an interior surface of the wearable ring device, wherein at least a portion of the internal housing is configured to contact the user when the wearable ring device is worn by the user, and wherein the housing encloses a curved battery, a printed circuit board, one or more processors, and one or more components that are electrically coupled with the curved battery and the printed circuit board,
wherein the curved battery has a size and shape configured to fit within a curved portion of the housing,
wherein the one or more components comprise:
a first light emitting diode (LED) configured to emit visible light and a second LED configured to emit at least one of infrared light or near-infrared light;
a light sensor configured to detect one or more of the visible light, the infrared light, or the near-infrared light to support detection of one or more biometric features of the user; and
an accelerometer, a gyroscope, or both, configured to detect physical movement of the user, and
wherein the one or more processors are electrically coupled with the one or more components, and wherein the one or more processors are individually or in combination configured to cause the wearable ring device to:
authenticate the user based at least in part on the one or more biometric features; and
transmit a signal in response to the user being authenticated, wherein the signal is configured to cause an access node to unlock a door, start a vehicle, or both.
