1. An apparatus, comprising:
a tab comprising:
a first aperture;
a first plurality of magnets located around the first aperture;
a guide element surrounding the first aperture; and
a means for connecting the tab to a device such that a camera lens of the device is aligned with the first aperture; and
an adapter comprising:
a second aperture;
a second plurality of magnets located around the second aperture; and
a means for connecting the adapter to an optical instrument such that a lens of the optical instrument is aligned with the second aperture,
wherein the first plurality of magnets and the second plurality of magnets are configured such that the camera lens of the device is aligned with a lens of the optical instrument using the guide element when the tab is magnetically coupled to the adapter.
