1. A headset comprising:
an optical assembly associated with the headset, wherein the optical assembly comprises a first lens and a second lens spaced from the first lens by a first distance;
an adjustment assembly comprising:
an interpupillary distance adjustment mechanism configured to adjust the first distance between the first lens and the second lens in a first direction; and
an eye relief distance adjustment mechanism configured to adjust the optical assembly a second distance in a second direction that is orthogonal to the first direction; and
a measurement component configured to measure the first distance and the second distance via motion in the first direction, wherein the measurement component comprises a first rheostat configured to measure the first distance.
