1. A building supervisory control structure comprising:
a supervisor controller connectable to a cloud, wherein the supervisor controller comprises a processor communicatively coupled to the cloud, and wherein the processor is configured to manage communication and control tasks between the cloud and one or more systems associated with a building;
a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) unit connected to the supervisor controller and the cloud; and
a safety features stack connected to the supervisor controller; and
wherein:
the HVAC unit provides comfort temperature control for a building; and
the safety features stack comprises a connectivity check automated fail-over, an optimization watchdog incorporating constraints of adjustable comfort limits for each room or zone, adjustable bounds and maximum allowed steps of setpoints to prevent sudden changes of action variables, a rule-based comfort protection mechanism that provides automatic adjustment of one or more setpoints when comfort limits are exceeded, wherein the adjustment is made based on one or more predefined rules incorporating zone-specific conditions, savings bottlenecks overview comprising a table listing zones where comfort limits are exceeded, the savings bottlenecks overview suggests parameters for constraints of maximum or minimum zone temperature and cooling or heating demand, wherein the suggestion for the parameters is based on a situation of a zone in the building, and wherein the suggestion comprises extension of one or more setpoint limits for an asset in the zone based on a demand for the zone, ordering the zones according to a percentages of time that the comport limits were exceeded, showing their comfort targets, and whether they are enabled or disabled for comfort monitoring, a human override, and a notification mechanism.
