9. A canned motor pump comprising:
a first shaft including a first magnet;
a second shaft at least partially positioned around the first shaft, the second shaft including a second magnet, the second magnet magnetically engaged with the first magnet; and
a shroud positioned between the first shaft and the second shaft, the shroud including:
a metallic core layer, wherein the metallic core layer is positioned between the first magnet and the second magnet in a radial direction defined by the canned motor pump, wherein a first portion of the metallic core layer includes a first outer diameter, wherein a second portion of the metallic core layer includes a second outer diameter different than the first outer diameter, and wherein the first portion and the second portion of the metallic core layer are defined at a same position along an axial direction defined by the canned motor pump;
a first non-metallic layer positioned between the metallic core layer and the first shaft; and
a second non-metallic layer positioned between the metallic core layer and the second shaft.
