1. A method of producing a lubricant composition, said method comprising the steps of
i. hydrolyzing a starting material comprising one or more triglycerides to provide a hydrolyzed product mixture, wherein the hydrolyzed product mixture comprises one or more fatty acids, and wherein the starting material is an oil, wherein the oil is a waste cooking oil,
ii. condensing the one or more fatty acids of the hydrolyzed product mixture to provide a condensation product mixture, wherein the condensation product mixture comprises an anhydride, a ketone, an ether, an acyl halide, an arene, or any combination thereof,
iii. contacting the anhydride of the condensation product mixture with a cyclic compound, thereby acylating the cyclic compound to provide a coupled product mixture, and
iv. hydrogenating the coupled product mixture to provide the lubricant composition.
