1. A method, comprising:
measuring, by a pressure sensor, a fluid pressure of a fluid in a fluid supply line of a medical device comprising a pump configured to pump fluid, wherein the medical device is coupled to a patient, the fluid pressure comprising a motor pressure component and a patient pressure component, wherein the motor pressure component is indicative of a current of a motor of the medical device;
determining, by at least one data processor coupled to the pressure sensor, the patient pressure component, by applying at least one filter coupled to the pressure sensor to remove the motor pressure component from the measured fluid pressure; and
adjusting, by the at least one data processor based at least in part on the determined patient pressure component, a setting of the medical device.
