1. An apparatus for applying negative pressure to a wound, the apparatus comprising:
a housing;
a negative pressure source supported by the housing and configured to provide negative pressure, via a fluid flow path, to a wound covered by a wound dressing, the negative pressure source being further configured to provide negative pressure in accordance with a set of negative pressure wound therapy parameters comprising a negative pressure set point;
an electronic control circuitry supported by the housing and configured to cause the negative pressure source to provide negative pressure to the wound at the negative pressure set point;
a communications circuitry supported by the housing and being controlled by the electronic control circuitry, the communications circuitry comprising a first printed circuit board with a ground area, the communications circuitry being configured to transmit, via an antenna, first data comprising at least one of a location of the housing, one or more logs corresponding to provision of negative pressure, or one or more alarms caused by provision of negative pressure and receive, via the antenna, second data comprising at least one of data for tracking the location of the housing, data for adjusting the set of negative pressure wound therapy parameters, or data for upgrading software or firmware; and
an antenna circuitry supported by the housing and comprising a second printed circuit board being electrically connected to the first printed circuit board, the second printed circuit board including a conductive area configured to radiate electromagnetic waves,
wherein the conductive area and the ground area together form the antenna configured to wirelessly transmit the first data and receive the second data.
