1. A valve repair device, comprising:
a first paddle;
a second paddle;
wherein the first paddle and the second paddle are configured to move between a closed position and an open position;
a spacer disposed between the first paddle and the second paddle;
a first gripping member disposed between the first paddle and the spacer;
a second gripping member disposed between the second paddle and the spacer;
wherein the first paddle and the first gripping member are configured to capture a first native valve leaflet; and
wherein the second paddle and the second gripping member are configured to capture a second native valve leaflet.
