1. A method implemented by a hearing assistance device adapted to be worn by a wearer, the method comprising:
generating, by the hearing assistance device, a sequence of cues that guide the wearer through a series of actions in accordance with a predetermined balance test;
sensing, using one or more sensors of the hearing assistance device, movement of the wearer during each of the actions;
determining, by a processor of the hearing assistance device, movement of the wearer associated with each cue; and
producing, by the processor, an output indicative of results of the balance test.
