1. A method comprising:
identifying, using control circuitry, a first media asset relevant to a user profile;
identifying, based on a database listing availability of media assets, a content provider that is scheduled to make the first media asset available at a future date, wherein the first media asset is unavailable from the content provider at a present time;
identifying a start of a subscription period for the content provider, wherein the subscription period includes the future date;
determining that a gap day exists between the start of the subscription period and the future date;
identifying, using the control circuitry, a second media asset relevant to the user profile and available from the content provider during the gap day;
and
causing display, at a device associated with the user profile, of one or more user interface reminders to acquire a subscription to the content provider, wherein the one or more user interface reminders indicate the first media asset and the second media asset.
