1. A medical light, in particular a dental treatment light for the intraoral illumination of an operation field, having an illumination unit having lighting means and optical means for generating a light field in an object plane,
wherein the lighting means are formed by an essentially punctiform LED light source and the optical means have a plate-shaped collimator and a cover pane,
wherein the collimator has a central area, which is provided with light-refracting structures on a side facing away from the LED light source, and an outer area, which surrounds the central area and which is provided with structures designed for total reflection on a side facing toward the LED light source,
and wherein the cover pane is provided with a lens structure, which has a plurality of individual lenses each designed to project the light emitted by the collimator and entering the lenses onto the object plane,
characterized in that
the rear side of the central area of the collimator facing toward the LED light source is provided with partial surfaces, which have an inclination in relation to a plane of the collimator and thus in relation to the object plane, in order to asymmetrically expand the light field in one direction.
