1. A composite particulate build material, comprising:
92 wt % to 99 wt % polymeric particles having an average size from 10 μm to 150 μm and an average aspect ratio of less than 2:1; and
0.5 wt % to 8 wt % reinforcing particles having an average size of 0.1 μm to 20 μm and an average aspect ratio of 3:1 to 100:1 applied to surfaces of the polymeric particles, wherein the reinforcing particles include mica or glass and cover 10% to 50% of surfaces of the polymeric particles by total surface area of the polymeric particles,
wherein the composite particulate build material is prepared by:
admixing the polymeric particles with the reinforcing particles in the presence of a polymer swelling solvent;
allowing the polymeric particles to swell such that the reinforcing particles become applied to the surfaces of the polymeric particles; and
rinsing and drying the polymeric particles to form the composite particulate build material.
