1. A liquid supply apparatus comprising:
a liquid ejecting head configured to scan and eject liquid in the apparatus;
a liquid storage tank fixedly held in the apparatus and in communication with the liquid ejecting head via a tube; and
a cartridge that stores liquid and is detachably attached in a housing of the apparatus to the liquid storage tank, the cartridge being attached to the liquid storage tank in a state where the liquid ejecting head is ejecting liquid, wherein
the liquid storage tank includes
an atmosphere communication portion in communication with the atmosphere,
a first connecting portion that, in a state where the cartridge is attached to the liquid storage tank, enables the cartridge to be in liquid communication with the liquid storage tank, and
a second connecting portion that, in the state where the cartridge is attached to the liquid storage tank, is connected to the cartridge so as to be liquid-tight with the cartridge and to be positioned higher than a liquid surface of liquid stored inside the cartridge, and enables the cartridge to be in gaseous communication with the atmosphere communication portion,
wherein the cartridge is detachably attached to the liquid storage tank in a horizontal direction of the housing of the apparatus.
