1. A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium containing instructions that, when executed, causes a smart phone device to:
determine a user's baseline heart rate;
store the user's baseline heart rate;
compare the user's present heart rate to the user's baseline heart rate;
generate heartbeat rendering instructions in response to the comparison; and
send the generated heartbeat rendering instructions to a first orb device that is communicatively coupled to the smart phone device to display the user's heartbeat rendering;
wherein the generated heartbeat rendering instructions include instructions to vary light in color and intensity within the first orb device;
wherein when the user's heart rate is at the user's baseline heart rate, the heart rate rendering is a first color and first intensity and upon detecting a change from the user's baseline heart rate, the heart rate rendering changes from the first color and first intensity to a second color and a second intensity to reflect the change in the user's heart rate.
