1. A colpotomy device for performing a hysterectomy, the colpotomy device comprising:
a flexible drive tube having a proximal end and a distal end and bendable therebetween;
a rotatable cutting implement at the distal end of the flexible drive tube, the rotatable cutting implement having a ring that includes a plurality of contact tabs, where at least one contact tab of the plurality of contact tabs extends from the ring;
a blade cover having a plurality of projections;
an end effector assembly coupling having a plurality of recesses and a plurality of apertures, wherein the at least one contact tab extends into one of the plurality of recesses on a circumference of the ring and at least one projection of the plurality of projections of the blade cover matingly connects with an aperture of the plurality of apertures; and
a plurality of couplings being located within the flexible drive tube and rotatable about a bendable longitudinal axis of the flexible drive tube, one of the plurality of couplings being coupled to the end effector assembly coupling, the plurality of couplings being in a series, the series including one or more inter-coupling joints and configured to transmit a rotational force between the plurality of couplings, each of the plurality of couplings defining a passageway.
