1. A computer-implemented method for managing bandwidth in Fibre Channel over Internet Protocol (FCIP) communication channels, comprising:
monitoring traffic demand at an FCIP communication channel;
applying cognitive forecasting by using machine learning on historical traffic demand and patterns with pre-scheduling of bandwidth to predict throughput demand of the FCIP communication channel; and
in response to an anticipated period of throughput demand on the FCIP communication channel, dynamically changing a minimum and maximum bandwidth to reallocate bandwidth of unused tunnels.
