1. A method comprising:
detecting, by a software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) application executing on a client device, a presence of an SD-WAN device;
establishing, by the SD-WAN application, a connection between the SD-WAN application and the SD-WAN device; and
updating, by the SD-WAN application, a configuration of the SD-WAN application, to cause the SD-WAN application to interoperate with the SD-WAN device for managing one or more network services;
wherein the connection comprises a first connection, wherein updating the configuration of the SD-WAN application comprises switching, by the SD-WAN application from a first configuration of the SD-WAN application to a second configuration of the SD-WAN application, wherein the first configuration causes the SD-WAN application to manage the one or more network services via one or more second connections of the SD-WAN application, and wherein the second configuration causes the SD-WAN application to interoperate with the SD-WAN device for managing the one or more network services via the first connection.
