1. An apparatus for wireless communication at a transmitter, comprising:
a memory; and
one or more processors, coupled to the memory, configured to:
receive, from a receiver associated with an orbital angular momentum (OAM) multiplexing based communication, feedback;
determine a selected OAM mode for communication with the receiver based at least in part on the feedback, wherein the selected OAM mode is associated with one or more values that satisfy a threshold; and
transmit the OAM multiplexing based communication to the receiver based at least in part on the selected OAM mode.
