1. A method of enabling a wireless communication link between a mobile device and a satellite, the method comprising:
providing guidance, via a screen of the mobile device, for moving the mobile device to perform calibration of one or more orientation sensors of the mobile device;
estimating a real-time position of the satellite relative to the mobile device;
determining, with the mobile device, one or more target orientations of the mobile device in which the mobile device is pointed toward the satellite, wherein the one or more target orientations of the mobile device are based on the estimated real-time position of the satellite relative to the mobile device;
determining a first orientation of the mobile device subsequent to providing the guidance for moving the mobile device to perform calibration;
providing, via the screen, user interface (UI) guidance for rotating the mobile device from the first orientation to a second orientation within the set of one or more target orientations of the mobile device, wherein the UI guidance comprises real-time visual feedback on the screen, based on the estimated real-time position of the satellite relative to the mobile device; and
sending a message, with the mobile device, to the satellite while the mobile device is, within a threshold degree of variance, at the second orientation within the one or more target orientations of the mobile device.
