1. A high-voltage electrical system, comprising:
a high-voltage electric power source;
an electrical load;
a voltage test meter;
a first probe and a second probe in communication with the voltage test meter electrically between the first probe and the second probe so that the first probe and second probe are electrically connected to each other through the voltage test meter;
electrical circuitry including the high-voltage electric power source and the electrical load so that the high-voltage electric power source provides electric power to the electrical load;
a first electrical terminal configured to receive the first probe of the voltage test meter;
a second electrical terminal configured to receive the second probe of the voltage test meter;
a first at least one electrical component electrically disposed in the electrical circuitry, the first at least one electrical component connected to the first electrical terminal and to a first position in the electrical circuitry electrically between a first side of the high-voltage electric power source and the electrical load;
a second at least one electrical component electrically disposed in the electrical circuitry, the second at least one electrical component connected to the second electrical terminal and to a second position in the electrical circuitry electrically between a second side of the high-voltage electric power source opposite the first side and the electrical load; and
a junction box disposed between the high-voltage electric power source and the electrical load and having a housing that encloses the first electrical terminal, the second electrical terminal, the first at least one electrical component, and the second at least one electrical component;
wherein an open circuit is defined in the electrical circuitry between the first electrical terminal and the second electrical terminal that prevents flow of electric current through the first at least one electrical component and the second at least one electrical component and across the first electrical terminal and the second electrical terminal in absence of electrical connection between the first electrical terminal and the second electrical terminal through the voltage test meter by selectable application of the first probe to the first electrical terminal and of the second probe to the second electrical terminal,
wherein the first at least one electrical component is configured so that the first at least one electrical component passes at most a low level electric current to the first electrical terminal when a short circuit between the first electrical terminal and a portion of the electrical circuitry that has a high voltage level completes an electric circuit that includes the first at least one electrical component and the high-voltage electric power source, and
wherein the second at least one electrical component is configured so that the second at least one electrical component passes at most a low level electric current to the second electrical terminal when a short circuit between a portion of the electrical circuitry that has a high voltage level completes an electric circuit that includes the second at least one electrical component and the high-voltage electric power source.
